Apricot Honey :                       Ben Morrison grew this plant under the number:        111-56-1
('Kagetsu X Indicum) X ('Mucronatum >< Kaempferi) X 'Tamasugata;  evergreen to semievergreen; 10 year old plant about 30 inches tall, upright in habit;   leaves narrow, light green;    flowers single, 2-3 per head, 2 to 2 3/4 inches in diameter, lobes overlapping, centers light, between Hermosa Pink and white, margins broad between Hermosa Pink and Geranium Pink (Ridgway), dots of blotch area almost Carmine on the color margin and Ochraceous-Buff on light Center areas, pistil normal.  To assure the light centers on this planet, like all others, must reach a stage of growth with many flowering twigs.

Seedling #32666 X 'Musashino;    evergreen, 4 and 1/2 feet tall after 10 years;   flowers single, flat,  2 to 2 1/2 inches, tinted white, color faint and not nameable, washed from the edge with varying degrees of pink hue that is between La France Pink and Shrimp Pink, towards white, rather than in the pure tone, dots of blotch area not conspicuous but a little darker than Shrimp Pink (Ridgway).

Dream - ('Mucronatum' X 'Simcil' pink clone) X 'Gunrei;    semievergreen; 10 year-old plant 30 inches tall and wide; leaves abundant, narrow, and somewhat yellow green;    flowers single, 2 to 2 1/2 inches diameter, 2 to 3 per head, with good lobes and somewhat ruffle, not frilled margins, color deepest in throat, margins almost white, shading inwards to Pale Amaranth Pink to Deep Rose-Pink in very center, dots of blotch area small but distinct, Tyrian Pink (Ridgway).  Very floriferous.

('Vittata Fortunei X 'Warai Gishi') X (Pluto(an old Southern Indica)    semievergreen to evergreen, 4 feet tall and broad after 10 years;    flowers early, double, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inch, 9 to 12 petals, between Amaranth Purple, dots on upper petals coming from blotch area Dahlia Purple (Ridgway), pistols usually present and sometimes a few stamen;  in Mr. Morrison's Garden shows a distinct tendency to flower in autumn and is used as an accent plant in landscape work.
 

'Brides Bouquet'                     Ben Morrison grew this plant under the number:               35-57-6
('Warai Gishi X 'Kagetsu ) X 'Rogetsu;    evergreen, foliage dark green "Macrantha"-type, but ends more rounded, habit  somewhat columnar;    flowers double, about 2 to 2 1/2 inches diameter, the 15 to 20 petals are graduated in size and create a gardenia-like effect, pure white with no sign of any spotty and no sign of any sporting to color, pistil normal but only an occasional stamen or trace of anther.   This clone is early to flower among its kin and in mid-May in Mississippi.

('Vittata Fortunei' X 'Warai Gishi' ) X  Pluto;    semievergreen to evergreen, four feet tall and broad after 10 years;   flowers early, double, 11/2 to 13/4 inches, 12 to 16 petals very pointed, somewhat shovel-shaped, Rose Doree, dots on upper petals Tyrian Rose (Ridgway), unopened buds carry a much darker hue, almost Carmine.

Kagetsu' X 'Warai Gishi;     evergreen azalea;   flowers double, 12 to 20 petals, was a tendency to an implicated flower, usually with neither pistol nor stamen but sometimes will set seeds and give some pollen, Scarlet sometimes with Garnet Brown dots; usually one of the last in May to flower.

seedling #32629 X 'Tama Sugata';    semievergreen, particularly in dry season, and with conspicuous autumn flowering in this south in USA;    10-year-old plant four feet high and about three feet broad,    flowers single, 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 inch diameter, with widely overlapping petals and rather flat carriage, white ground heavily striped, flaked and dotted with Tyrian Pink (Ridgway), no two flowers alike, an occasional sector of game, dots of blotch area small, heavy and distinct, Amaranth Purple  (Ridgway).

Seedling 36/45 X 'Shikuno;    evergreen: 10 year old plant 2 1/2 feet tall and broad;    flowers single, 2 3/4 inch diameter, petals overlapping, white with heavy and showy blotch of sharply divided dots of a hue between Light Jasper Pink (Ridgway); that is a faint tinting at times on the white ground and a rare stripe of a hue between Rose and Old Rose (Ridgway).

(Vittata Fortunei X Warai Gishi ) X 'Pluto;    evergreen; 10-year-old plant four feet tall and broad;    flowers double, 1 1/4 to 13/8 inches diameter, 16 to 20 petals, Pomegranate Purple (Ridgway) closing to Acajou Red (Ridgway), bases of petals lighter,    carriers in garden effects as Bordeaux (Ridgway);    the darkest in this series of early flowering doubles.

Kagetsu' X 'Warai Gishi;    evergreen; ten-year old plant 14 inches with spread of 24 inches, type of grow as in "Balsaminaeflorum" but more vigorous;    late flowering, double, 10 to 15 petals imbricated but more like a peony type camellia bloom, Deep Rose-Pink (Ridgway) with few dots of Tyrian Pink deep down near base of petals.
 

'Habanera'                           Ben Morrison grew this plant under the number:                        121-49-1
(Indicum orange clone X 'Hatsusime') X 'Tama Sugata;    evergreen; ten-year old plant not more than four feet, twiggy, and when once twig patterns are established, flowering is as heavily as in a kurume clone;    flower a single, 2 to 2 1/4 inch diameter, irregular white center with margins of  Tyrian Pink, blotch area conspicuous with dots of Tyrian Rose (Ridgway).

Seedling #32629 X 'Tama Sugata;    a sister seedling to Extravaganza;   semievergreen, especially in dry season;    flowers single, of fine circular form with overlapping lobes, Rose with faintly darkening tinting towards margin and a conspicuous blotch of heavy patterned distinct dots of Tyrian Rose tending towards Amaranth Purple and extending halfway across upper two lateral lobes (Ridgway).    distinct from the self colored sports which sometimes show on a sister seedling; it is not a propagation from such.

Kagetsu' X Seedling 32666 (indicum X 'Hazel Dawson);    evergreen;    ten-year old plant about 4 1/2 feet high and about three feet broad;    flowers late mid-season, single, 2 1/2 to 3 inches diameter, base white, in somewhat starry pattern, margins between Mallow Purple and Tyrian Pink (Ridgway), the pink being the more conspicuous color, dots in blotch area conspicuous and showing slightly brownish on the white ground.

('Dream X Luna ('Mucronatum >( simsii) X (Kaempferi X 'Shinnyo no Tsuki);      semievergreen; 15 year-old plant about five feet, columnar habit;   flowers single, about three inches diameter, circular in form with overlapping lobes, margins Rose Red, centers paler than Rose Pink (Ridgway), dots of the blotch area distinct, small, Deep Rose-Pink, stamens 10, pistil normal.  Until the plant is well furnished with a blooming twigs, only about 50 percent of blooms show the light centers.

(Vittata Fortunei X Warai Gishi) X Pluto;    semievergreen to evergreen; flowers early, double, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inch diameter, 12 to 16 petals, Begonia Rose flushed Rose Doree (Ridgway), dots on upper petals Tyrian Rose, pistil usually present, stamens missing.  In Mr. Morrison's Garden shows strong tendency to autumn as well as spring flowering.  Garden effect of bloom is brilliant Coral Pink.
 

'Margaret Douglas'                  Ben Morrison grew this plant under the number:                     123-49-2
(Indicum X Hatsushimo) X Shinsei; evergreen; four feet high after 10 years; flowers single, 2 3/4 to 3 inch diameter, large central area Hermosa Pink (Ridgway), margins fairly uniform in width about 3/8 inch Begonia Rose, unopened buds carry as Rose Doree.

'Marian Lee'                             Ben Morrison grew this plant under the number:                     222-49-9
Kagetsu X (Hazel Dawson X Indicum);     plant four feet high in 10 years, semievergreen but almost completely evergreen in milder winters;   leaves narrow;    flowers 2 1/2 to 3 inches diameter, white centers washed over with Alizarine Pink (Ridgway), borders of varying width, from 1/4 to 3/8 inch NOPAL RED Nopal Red, dots in blotch area not conspicuous but darker Alizarine Pink; late mid season in Mississippi, late May in North.  They free flowering and described as the effect of butterflies.  Grown only in 2 northern Gardens where it was completely cold hardy.  Parents all cold hardy in Washington, D.C.
 
 

'Marion Armstrong'                  Ben Morrison grew this plant under the number:                     255-49-17
Kagetsu X Warai Gishi;   evergreen; 10-year-old plant five feet tall, spreading to 3 to 3 1/2 feet; flowers double, 14 to 20 petals, flat like a formal camellia; Begonia Rose (Ridgway) were very few dots of Carmine on upper lobes, some autumn bloom in Mr. Morrison's garden.
 
 

'Maud Jacobs'                          Ben Morrison grew this plant under the number:                      255-49-11
Kagetsu X Warai Gishi;   evergreen; 15 year-old bush now about 20 inches tall and 24 inches wide (this may be less than normal on account of cuttings haven't been taken);    flowers double, 15 to 20 overlapping petals, 3 to 3 1/4 inch diameter, Tyrian Pink (Ridgway) with a few dots of Tyrian Rose in the blotch area, few, if any,  stamens, pistil apparently normal.   The chief value of this clone is the low spreading habit and extreme floriferousness.
 
 

'May Blaine'                                 Ben Morrison grew this plant under the number:                      255-49-15
Kagetsu X Warai Gishi;     evergreen; 10 year old plant 3 1/2 feet tall and broad;   flowers late, double, 2 1/2 to 3 inches diameter, 12 to 16 imbricated petals, flat like formal camellia, Light Mallow Purple, dots on upper lobes, few, Tyrian Rose (Ridgway), pistil usually perfect, few, if any, stamens.   Garden effect of light lavender.

 Kagetsu X Warai Gishi;     evergreen; 10-year-old plant about two feet high and broad;   flowers late, double with many petaloid stamens, some stamens, and loose arrangement of the 10 to 18 rounded petals, 2 2 2 1/4 inch diameter, center irregularly white, sometime tinted, borders between Rose Pink and Pale Amaranth Pink (Ridgway).
 
 

'Misty Plum'                                Ben Morrison grew this plant under the number:                      222-49-4
Kagetsu X seedling 32666 (indicum X Hazel Dawson);     semievergreen to evergreen;     flowers 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 inches diameter, single, somewhat funnel shaped, center white with the smallest amount of white on their uppermost lobe, margins Mallow Purple (Ridgway), dots in the blotch area Aster Purple with a faint greenish wash over the blotch area as well.
 

'Moresea'                                   Ben Morrison grew this plant under the number:                      166-49-1
(Vittata Fortunei X Warai Gishi) X Pluto;      semievergreen to evergreen; 10-year-old plant four feet tall and broad; flowers early, double, 1 1/4 to 1 1/3 inch diameter, 15 to 20 petals, Amaranth Pink and petals corresponding to upper lobes shaded with  Light Phlox Purple, dots on blotch area Tyrian Rose (Ridgway); and garden effect of a purplish rose.  In Mr. Morrison's garden shows a marked tendency to all from as as well as spring bloom.
 

'Orange Flare'                          Ben Morrison grew this plant under the number:                         255-49-19A
Kagetsu X Warai Gishi;      evergreen to semievergreen;  10-year-old plant about 18 inches tall and as wide, gross somewhat erect and close; flowers double, 2 1/2 to 3 inches diameter, petals somewhat narrow and clearly cut to base, inner bass of each petal between a hue paler than La France Pink or Hermosa Pink, the tips between Geranium Pink and Rose Doree, no blotch area, no trace of stamens and, when present, pistil usually normal though in most cases with a petaloid flag; the flowers to approach a tassel like form and all very striking; late in bloom, end of May and early June in Mississippi.

(Andros X Parade) X Keisets = (Vittata Fortunei X Warai Gishi) X (Kaempferi X Mucronatum) X Keisetsu;   evergreen to semi evergreen;  10-year-old plant about 24 inches by 24 inches, but the plant has been crowded and these measurements may give a faults impression;    flowers single with occasional petaloidy of stamens, 2 1/2 2 3 inches diameter, 2 to 4 per head, freely produced and some tendency to autumn and winter bloom in Mississippi, Rose Red, with dots of blotch area distinct though not show a, of Pomegranate Purple (Ridgway) which gives only the affect of deeper color at base of flower, stamens five, some petaloidy, pistil normal.

Kagetsu' X Warai Gishi;    evergreen; 10-year-old plant four feet tall and almost as broad, growth habit more open and other siblings;   flowers late, double 10 to 12 petals opening widely as in a semi double rose, but individual petals rounded and well imbricated, between Rose Pink and Rose (Ridgway), with some dotting in blotch area of upper petals, Tyrian Rose, pistil and stamens often malformed.
 

'Rose Brocade'                            Ben Morrison grew this plant under the number:                      255-49-3
Kagetsu X Warai Gishi;    evergreen; 15 year-old bush now about four feet tall and almost as broad;    flowers double, 2 1/2 to 3 inches diameter, 15 to 20 petals, broad, overlapping, Rose (Ridgway) small traces of Tyrian Rose in blotch area of uppermost petals, no stamens, pistil, if present, apparently normal.

Parentage unknown;      semievergreen, foliage excellent and ample at blooming time; 10-year-old plant 4 1/2 to five feet, somewhat opened in habit;     flowers single, 2 to 2 3/4 inches diameter, 2 to 3 per head, lobes nicely overlapping; a garden effect of clear pale pink, center of each flower almost white with a deepening tone to the margins of pale Amaranth Pink, almost Amaranth Pink on actual margins (Ridgway), dots of blotch area distinct, darkening, when on the deeper tone of lobes, to Tyrian Pink; stamens five to eight, pistil normal; bloom in early May in Mississippi.

Kagetsu X Warai Gishi;      evergreen; growth low, slow, forming a plant broader than tall and notable in that the white that appears in the center of the flowers may be slow to appear, usually not dependable till the plant is mature;     flowers late, double, 2 3/4 to 3 inches diameter, petals and narrow and rather irregular, giving a loose appearance, 16 to 20 petals, close to Old Rose (towards Venetian Pink) (Ridgway).
